Jon Welsh is a UK-based professional photographer with over 30 years of experience in the industry. After early training in Art and Graphic Design, Jon worked as a Graphic Designer in the Art Department of the feature film Running Brave, produced in Canada in the 1980s.
Jon’s photography career took shape in the mid-1980s when he assisted leading Advertising Photographers in London, gaining expertise in large format film techniques. This foundation led to a highly successful career across the Advertising, Publishing, and Editorial sectors.

Art Shows & Personal Practice
Jon’s passion for photography began at age 8, ignited by a holiday in Amsterdam with a 35mm Instamatic camera. His first serious foray came in 1983, photographing in Mexico , shooting Kodachrome 64, a turning point that solidified his commitment to photography as an art form.
Jon’s personal work spans Landscape, Travel, Abstract, Street, and Documentary photography. He continues to explore new themes and visual approaches in long-term, self-initiated projects.
